Interstate Teams Up With Odyne Systems On Innovative Material Handling Truck
An exciting new offering from I-State Truck combines our rugged V&H Work Ready Truck with an electric crane built on Odyne System’s advanced plug-in hybrid technology, which offers complete crane and AC / heat operation at the job site with the truck engine off.
The all new material handling truck was unveiled at the Advanced Clean Transportation (ACT) Expo on August 30 in Long Beach, Calif. The new Western Star 4700SB truck features:
- Detroit DD13 Engine
- Allison Transmission
- IMT 28562 Drywall Crane (62’ horizontal reach / 2,400 lb. capacity)
Odyne’s technology enables trucks over 14,000 pounds to have substantially lower emissions, improved performance, quieter job site operation, lower fuel consumption and reduced operating and maintenance costs.
The new truck, sold exclusively through I-State Truck, represents a win for the environment and businesses alike. With the engine off at the work site, the Odyne system significantly reduces emissions while lowering costs. Braking, driving and running the engine all recharge the Odyne system, delivering additional fuel savings.
