Power When it Matters Most
Interstate Energy Systems is a division of Interstate Companies, Inc. Founded in 1957, Interstate began as Interstate-GM Diesel headquartered in Minneapolis, Minnesota. One of the first Detroit Diesel and Allison Transmission distributors, our primary focus was on the sale and service of engines and transmissions.
In 2015, Interstate acquired Inland Power Group, including their power generation business, which provided sales, parts and service for the full line of mtu, GE Jenbacher, and other products. The Interstate Energy Systems division was formed to handle power generation sales while Interstate Power Systems continues to provide parts and service throughout the U.S. and Canada.
Other divisions in the Interstate portfolio include Interstate Bearing Systems, I-State Truck Centers, Interstate Assembly Systems, and Interstate Power Systems. These divisions touch thousands of customers in many different industries. They work together, sharing training, knowledge, and resources. This unique business structure enables us to provide end-to-end solutions in a seamless, customized manner.
